On the trail of the Ark
I crossed the North of Ethiopia through the plateau: the lake Tana, the island of Tana Kirkos, the millenary cities of Lalibela, Axum and Gondar. In the church of St. Mary of Sion in Axum, like described in the Kebra Nagast, ancient ethiopian manuscript of the XIII century, I saw the place where the Alliance Ark, disappeared since the temple of Salomon in the sixth century before Christ, should have been preserved. The photographic route traces, in a summarized way, the places covered along the way of the saint cities of Africa Copta during the period of the Gemna, places where, still today, the coptic deacons are the only interprets of the ancient language Ge'ez.
